“And He, the Exalted, said: ‘…that He may ask the truthful (Allāh’s Messengers and His Prophets) about their truth (i.e. the conveyance of Allāh’s Message that which they were charged with)…’ [Surah al-Aḥzāb: Āyah 8]
So if the truthful ones are questioned and brought to account on their truthfulness, then how about the liars?”
Allaah – The All Knowing, The All Wise, The Most Benign and Kind, The Lord and Nuturer, The Creator and The Tremendous One, The Magnificent – decreed the creation of the two abodes, the worldly life and the afterlife; then He (Glorified Be He and Free is He from all imperfections) made the first (abode)a place for the (performance of righteous) action and the second (abode) a place of recompense. Indeed He (Glorified Be He and Free is He from all imperfections ) obligated on humans and the Jinn with obligations that are based on commands and prohibitions, and recompense is based on this on the day of judgement.
[Allaah said]:
فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ
So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it.
وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ
And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it.
Al Allaamah Ash Shaykh Zayd bin Haadi Al Madkhalee:
As for the one who claims to love the Messenger of Allaah ( sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam ) but he opposes the Messenger in Aqeedah (i.e. creed), sharee’ah (i.e. the path Allaah has legislated to be adhered to in all affairs of life) and in the methodology of Dawah, or he opposes him in some of it; then let him examine himself before time elapses (for repentance); for indeed recompense is given based on (one’s) deeds and there is recompense for every crime, and Allaah does not oppress (or wrong) anyone.
Shaikh Muhammad Baazmool ( may Allaah preserve him ) stated : They (i.e. the scholars) say, “Shaytaan calls the son of Adam and the first thing he calls him to is shirk; if he (i.e. the person) does not answer his (i.e. shaytaan’s) call, he calls him to bidah; if he does not answer his call, he calls him to commit major sins; if he does not answer his call, he calls him to commit minor sins; if he does not answer his call, he calls him to commit the (deeds that are not forbidden but they are) disliked; if he does not answer him, he calls him to abandon the recommended deeds; if he does not answer his call, he calls him to increase in (partaking) in the permissible (things of the worldly life).
It was said to Abu Haazim (rahimahullaah), “What is closeness? (i.e. a close relationship between two people?); he said, “Strong love (for one another).” Then he was asked, “What is the sweetness (of this strong love)? He said, “To be in agreement (i.e. to agree on what is right and agree in rejecting what is wrong). Then it was said to him, “What is relaxation?” He said, “Paradise.”

[Reported by Ibn Abee Dunyah ‘ in ( Al-Ikhwaan, page 132)]
Narrated Abu Musa (radiyallaahu-anhu): Two men from my tribe and I entered upon the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam). One of the two men said to the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam), ‘’O Allaah’s Messenger! Appoint me as a governor,’ and so did the second. The Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said, ‘’We do not assign the authority of the ruling to those who ask for it, nor those who are keen to have it.’’ [Saheeh Al-Bukhaari, Hadeeth Number 7149]
Ash Shaykh Abdur Razzaaq bin Abdul Mohsin Al Badr (May Allah preserve them) wrote:
Have you seen if a man was afflicted with severe hunger and delicious food was placed in his hands and he extended his hands (to his mouth) to eat from the food; then it was said to him: “indeed it is poisoned, if you eat from it, it will harm you or destroy you”, will he place his hands in it (eat it) or will he refrain?
Subhaanallah!!
How can a person stay far away from (poisoned) food, fearing it’s harm!! And he doesn’t stay away from sins fearful of their punishment!!
Al Imaam Ash Shaykh Rabee – May Allah Preserve Him – said:
“It is a must that the Muslim reads (and contemplates over) the verses (of the Quraan) and Ahadith which describe Allah – Tabaaraka wa Ta’aala – with his attributes of perfection and nobility, for indeed this aids him upon the fear of Allah, and upon realising that Allah is ever watchful over all things; that Allah hears all that is to be heard, he hears all sounds and sees a black ant on a black rock in the pitch black of night.
It seems – Allah knows best – the one who persists upon disobedience, Allah has made his heart blind – And refuge is sought with Allah from that – so a person can not (come close to) realise the greatness of Allah (without pondering over His Perfect Names and Attributes) and he can not comprehend that Allah sees him, or that Allah hears him.
But if the slave had this awareness then when he becomes enticed towards disobedience, whether it was small or large; if he reminded himself that Allah sees me, and that Allah hears me and that Allah knows what I’m going to do; then this would be a barrier for him and protection from disobeying Allah -Tabaaraka wa Ta’aala –
