The Salafi Position on Terrorism, Suicide Bombings and Hijackings

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Those who have manifested their hatred for Tawheed, the Sunnah of the final Messenger and the understanding of the Sahaabah always seek to distort the true image of Islaam when the khawaarij commit their crimes.  So do not lend an ear to the ill-informed views of the so called experts on Islaam, the biased secularist slanderers,  the munaafiqoon,  the modernists and the apologists.  Listen to the Major scholars and seek their advise in times of fitnah.  Visit the following link and may Allaah bless you.

Ruling Upon the One Who Attends a “Prophet’s Birthday” Event or Party – Ibn Baz

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

The time of year is upon us where those with a restricted share of knowledge from the Qur’an and Sunnah, upon the methodology of the Salaf of this Ummah, find themselves engaged in acts of “love” for the prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم – and yet in reality they are barren and void of any true love. They find themselves conducting marches, food festivals and other affairs claiming guidance within their activities, and in reality no revelation ever descended upon its validity.

Shaikh bin Baz رحمه الله was asked the following, “What is the ruling on the “prophet’s birthday”? And what is the ruling upon the one who attends it? And is the one who does it and dies upon that state [not having repented] punished?”

Regarding birthdays, then there is nothing in the legislation that indicates they should be celebrated, neither the “birthday” of the prophet صلى الله عليه  و سلم  or other than him. That which we know from the pure legislation and what the people of knowledge have established is that celebrating birthdays is an innovation – there is no doubt in that. Since the prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم who was the greatest in his advice to the people, and the most knowledgable regarding the legislation of Allah and the one who preached and spread it, did not celebrate his “birthday” and nor did the companions, neither Abu Bakr, Umar, ‘Uthman, ‘Ali رضي الله عنهم or other than them.

So if this was correct and a sunnah they would have hastened to doing it, and the prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم himself would not have left it, rather he would have done it himself صلى الله عليه و سلم and taught us to do it, and the companions would have done it…but since they all left it and did not do it, then we know with certainty this is not from the legislation. Similarly the righteous Salaf did not do it, and so it becomes clear this is an innovation and indeed the prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said translated, “Whomsoever introduces something into our religion that which is not from it will have it rejected”.

Therefore celebration of the “prophet’s birthday” in Rabee’ ul-Awwal [an islamic month] or in other months [since it is not established the exact date!], similarly other celebrations such as birthdays of al-Badawy or of al-Husain – all are reviled innovations and it is upon the people of Islam to abandon them. Instead Allah سبحانه و تعالى has bestowed upon us ‘Eid ul-Fitr and ‘Eid ul-Adha as the days of legislated celebration.

It is not a demonstration of love to the prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم in celebrating the “birthday”, rather the true love of the prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم necessitates following him and clinging to his Sunnah, and defending it, and calling to it, and being upright upon it…this is the true love, as Allah سبحانه و تعالى stated in Surah Ale ‘Imran: 31, the meaning of which is, “Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind): “If you (really) love Allah then follow me (i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Quran and the Sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive you of your sins. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

As for the individual being punished or not [the one who participates and dies upon that state], then that affair is with Allah. However, innovations and sins are from the means that lead to punishment, so a person may be punished due to his sin or he may be pardoned by Allah, the individual is under the command of Allah”.

Kuffaar know the importance of stability, why listen to them when they provoke us against our Muslim Rulers

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Al-Allaamah Al-Izz Bin Abdis Salaam (rahimahullaah) said: Had it not been for the appointment of a ruler, the beneficial universal affairs would have been lost, universal corruption would have become the reality, the strong would have overcome the weak and the (immoral) lowly ones would have overcome the noble (mannered) ones.

Shaikh Abdus-Salaam Burgess (rahimahullaah) said: The explanation of this is that the majority of the children of Adam are inclined towards injustice and love of vengeance.  And had it not been that there was a ruler who administers their affairs, they would have become like the beasts of the wild and fish of the sea—the strong eats the weak. Neither did it benefit Abu Taalib nor will it benefit the orientalists…Al-Allaamah Muhammad Amaan Al-Jaami

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

To know who the Messenger is:

It is that you love him more than yourself, your family and wealth.  It is obligatory upon the students of knowledge to know that everyone else loved for the sake of Allaah; but Allaah is not loved (for the sake of anyone else).  Everyone else who is loved, starting with the Messenger first and foremost, then such a (person) is to be loved for the sake of Allaah.  And for that reason if loving the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) is not (done) for the sake of Allaah, such as (loving him only) due to kinship or that he is a genius, (this) will not benefit (a person).  This love did not benefit Abu Taalib and it will not benefit those orientalists who held him in high esteem because he is a genius in history and not that he is a Messenger of Allaah.  It is obligatory upon the students of knowledge to be conscious of this.   [Abridged: Sharh Thalaatha Al-Usool: page: 22]

Benefits from Shaykh Hasan Marzooq Al-Banna -حفظه الله-

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

السلام عليكم

Inshaa Allah we will share some advice and benefits taken from tonight’s lesson on the 20th night of Safar 1434 corresponding with the 1st of January 2013, with Shaykh Hasan Marzooq Al-Banna -حفظه الله و جزاه الله خيرا-

The Shaykh -حفظه الله- said:

"Fear Allah and have Taqwa of Allah regardless of where you are, and not just when you are in the Masjid, just as the Messenger of Allah said:

“Fear Allah where ever you are”

Saheeh Al Jaami’ As Sagheer Al Albani

The Shaykh -حفظه الله-
was asked what harms and prevents a student of knowledge attaining ilm; from his answers the Shaykh said

Bad mannerisms and laziness in acts of worship”

The Shaykh -حفظه الله- answered a question pertaining to the UK and after consultation, told the people to refer back to Al-Athariyyah and Al-Masjid As-Sunnah in London, Al Masjid As-Salafi in Birmingham and Al Markaz As-Salafi in Manchester.

A brother said I have not studied Islamic knowledge for a long time where should i start?

(Paraphasing) The Shaykh -حفظه الله-replied:

Begin with the Usool, study the likes of Al-Usool Ath-Thalaatha and Al-Qawaaidul Arba’a and Al-Usool As-Sitta, start with the small books which will strengthen and build your foundations and give you the Usool that you need.

The final benefit we will mention is that
the Shaykh -حفظه الله- said:

“The Truth is One, The Usool (of Ahlul-Sunnah) are one and they do NOT change.”

Patience makes a person firm – Shaykh Fawzaan

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

السلام عليكم

Shaykh Fawzaan -حفظه الله- stated in one of his lectures:

“Patience is that which makes a person firm upon the religion as for the person who does not have patience then this (one) is not firm upon the religion.”

Which type of Patience is best?

Al’Allaamah Muhammad Amaan Al-Jaami said: Do not be deceived by this appellation…….

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

This term is blindly utilised, therefore do not be deceived by it.  If you hear the term Islamic Philosopher, then know that there is no such thing as Islamic Philosopher. The well-known Raazi [rahimahullaah] was a doctor, but all of them [i.e. him and those like him] were not saved from Philosophy. However, he is not regarded to be from the senior Philosophers, rather he is regarded to be from the scholars of Ilmul Kalaam [i.e. those who sought to establish the Islamic creed based on logical and intellectual arguments and not simply restricting themselves to the Qur’aan, the Sunnah and the understanding of the companions] who expressed regret at the end of his life. And even though his repentance is not explicit, however he was from those who expressed regret and regret is a type of repentance.

To speak or not to speak….

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

“Whoever believes in Allah and the Last day then let him speak good or remain silent”
Bukhaari & Muslim

And the Messenger of Allah – صلى الله عليه و سلم -said

“A good word is charity”
Saheeh Al Jaami’ As Sagheer: Al-Albani

“The majority of sins of the children of Aadam (عليه الصلاة و السلام) are because of his tongue.”
Saheeh Al Jaami’ As Sagheer: Al-Albani

Imaam An-Nawawi commented on the first hadeeth *:

This hadeeth is clear that it is befitting that you do not speak except if the speech is good and that there is a clear benefit. And when there is doubt (whether there is) a clear benefit then you do not speak.

Know that it is befitting for every person (who has reached the age of accountability and is sane) that he preserves his tongue from all speech except if the speech is clear in its benefit.

And when the benefit in speaking or leaving speech is equal; then the Sunnah is to refrain from speaking. Because it is possible that permissible speech can be swept along and become impermissible or disliked speech and this is the norm in most cases; and there is nothing that can equal safety.

The Difference Between Evil Eye and Envy – Shaikh ibn ul-Uthaymeen

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

A very beneficial advice from Shaikh ibn ul-Uthaymeen for all those afflicted by evil eye or envy of others, and to all those who are afflicted by whispers causing them distress in this regard.

Q: “What is the difference between the evil eye and envy and how do we protect ourselves from them?”

A: “There is no practical difference , but the origin of the evil eye is from envy, that is because the one who causes the evil eye – and we seek refuge in Allah – has in his heart envy for the servants of Allah and he does not love any good for anyone. If therefore he sees something from a person that pleases him and he is envious then this emotion eminates from him and afflicts the individual he envies, and that is why Allah said, “و من شر حاسد إذا حسد – And from the evil of the envier when he envies”.

As for protection from the evil of the envier and the evil eye:

1 – Trust and dependance in Allah, and that a person does not turn to these affairs and give them importance and concern, rather he shuns away from them.

2 – Using the beneficial supplications mentioned in the Qur’an and Sunnah for they are the best of protection for a person, just like what has been authenticated from the prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم regarding Ayat ul-Kursee and that the one who recites it at night then there will not cease to be a protector upon him and shaytaan will not approach him until he awakens in the morning.

Regarding this I say this point – The imaginations and misconceptions [whisperings] have increased in people in recent times, so they consider [if anything occurs] it must be evil eye, magic or jinn, to the extent if some of them catch a cold they will say “it is evil eye, magic or jinn”[!]. Turn and shun away from all this [such thoughts] and instead trust and depend in Allah. Do not entertain such whispers so they may depart from you, for indeed whenever a person allows a thought to enter his mind he becomes preoccupied by it, and if only he were to ignore it so it would depart from him and he would not be afflicted by harm. This is like if a person is afflicted by an injury, if he was to ignore it and preoccupy himself with other affairs he would forget the injury and not be focussed on the pain, however if he focuses on it he feels the pain.”
