How can Shaikh say that such and such is deviated, whilst he opposes the Soofees etc- A statement of some of the Hizbiyyoon aimed at sheltering their deviant figureheads of Tamyee and Bidah

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah) said: ‘It is not permitted for a man to say, ‘So and so is a person of the sunnah’ until he knows that he combines the characteristics of the Sunnah, so it is not said of him, ‘a person of the Sunnah’ until he combines all the Sunnah.'[1]

Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) commented on the above statement of Imaam Barbahaaree saying:

Do not give recommended to a person and a praise of him, except based on knowledge, lest the people become deceived by your praise of him, whilst he is not what (you have stated about him).  So when his real affair and path is clear to you, his knowledge and steadfastness; then you can give him recommendation. As for giving out praise and recommendation whilst not knowing of anything about him, then this is a dangerous recommendation through which the people will be deceived by this person.

Had only those who give commendations to the people stopped at that (i.e. put it in its proper place), then they would not give recommendation, except for one who fulfils the conditions of (receiving) recommendation because recommendation is a ‘Witness’; so, if the recommendation is not correct it will be a false witness.

And concerning the statement of Imaam Barbahaaree: ‘until he knows that he combines the characteristics of the Sunnah’ Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan commented on the above statement saying: The characteristics of the Sunnah are to be in Aqeedah, Knowledge and adherence to the Salafus Saaleh.  But if there is not in him except a single characteristic of the (sunnah), then he is not judged to be from Ahlus Sunnah on the basis of a single characteristic or one thing, so what about the one who does not have anything from that? So be mindful of those who utilise these foolish statements in order to hide the other deviations and innovations of their figureheads. Likewise, be distant from the obstinate blind followers—those who carry the slogan of Ikhtilaaf, whilst intending falsehood by way of it and to reject the clear unambiguous knowledge based refutations of the scholars against the figureheads of hizbiyyah, bidah and Tamyee.

Hammaad Bin Zayd (rahimahullaah) said: ”I was with Ayyoub, Yoonus and Ibn Awn, so Amr Ibn Bin Ubaid went past them and he used to be a Mutazili; he gave them Salaam and stopped, but they did not reply to him.”

Yoonus Ibn Abdil A’laa (rahimahullaah) said, ”I heard Ash-Shaafi’ee (rahimahullaah) saying, ”It is better for a man to be put to trial with everything that Allaah has forbidden except Shirk than looking into (or engaging himself in) philosophical rhetoric; for indeed I have come across affairs from the people of philosophical rhetoric, which I never thought I would come across (i.e. the deviations of the people of philosophical rhetoric).

(2) Reality of Masjid Al Furqan’s admin: A Further Example of the Manhaj of Mixing Haqq & Baatil

 In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah (The Most High) said:

وَلَا تُجَـٰدِلۡ عَنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخۡتَانُونَ أَنفُسَہُمۡ‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ خَوَّانًا أَثِيمً۬ا

يَسۡتَخۡفُونَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَا يَسۡتَخۡفُونَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ مَعَهُمۡ إِذۡ يُبَيِّتُونَ مَا لَا يَرۡضَىٰ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡلِ‌ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُونَ مُحِيطًا

هَـٰٓأَنتُمۡ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ جَـٰدَلۡتُمۡ عَنۡہُمۡ فِى ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا فَمَن يُجَـٰدِلُ ٱللَّهَ عَنۡہُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَـٰمَةِ أَم مَّن يَكُونُ عَلَيۡہِمۡ وَڪِيلاً۬

And argue not on behalf of those who deceive themselves. Verily, Allah does not like anyone who is a betrayer of his trust, and indulges in crime. They may hide (their crimes) from men, but they cannot hide (them) from Allah, for He is with them (by His Knowledge), when they plot by night in words that He does not approve, and Allah ever encompasses what they do. Lo! You are those who have argued for them in the life of this world, but who will argue for them on the Day of Resurrection against Allah, or who will then be their defender? [4:7-9]

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Madkhali (may Allaah preserve him) said: Whoever (deliberately) defends them (i.e. the innovators, people of falsehood etc) and argues on their behalf with falsehood, then he among those more deserving of the (above) statement of Allaah. [End of Quote] [1]

As the article made clear then, we see the likes of Abu Usaamah ad-Dhahabi invited there; a man whose hatred for the salafiyoon is deep and who defends the innovators (the likes of Al Magharawi, Al Ma’ribi, etc); then at the same time they arrange tele-links with those whom from which they hide their true state of affairs.

Another clear example of this hypocrisy of action, confusion in manhaj and deliberate attempts to confuse and pull the wool over the eyes of the people is found in their public library.

Their library carries the books of Sayid Qutb- Namely Fi dhilaal al Quran (in the shade of the Qur’an). Not one copy but two!

Now many will be acquainted with the destructive ideology propagated by this “thinker” and revolutionary; an ideology of bloodshed and revolution, which the ummah is suffering the consequences of to this very day. Furthermore here is a list of brief observations of the Scholars On Sayyid Qutb:

Imaam Abdul-Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) said:

”He (i.e. Sayyid Qutub) is lost (with regards to) Tafseer.” [3]

Imaam Albaani (rahimahullaah) said:

”He (i.e. Sayyid Qutub) does not possess an understanding of Islaam based on its (sound) fundamental principles and subsidiary issues.” [4]

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah) said:

”Shaikh Abdullaah Duwaish and Shaikh Rabee have observations on Sayyid Qutb’s Tafseer, so whoever wants to refer to (those observations) can do so.” [5]

Al-Allaamah Saaleh Al-Luhaydaan (may Allaah preserve him) said:

”The books of Sayyid Qutb are filled with affairs that are in opposition to (sound) Islamic Creed.” [6]

Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi (may Allaah preserve him) stated after mentioning a few books of sayyid Qutub:

”They gather the major innovations in them.” [7]

The above mentioned book is a tafseer written by Sayid Qutb and carries the basis and hall marks of that ideology. It is a tafseer which as Shaykh Anjaree (may Allah preserve him) explained is a tafseer based on “thinking and literal interpretation”; not on the hadeeth and the sunnah.

So what is Masjid Al Furqan doing when it has made that book freely available to any member of the congregation! A book which is one of the cornerstones of the ikhwaani thought and methodology, sits comfortably on their shelves whilst at the same time they are supposedly inviting and arranging links with scholars!

So the admin of Masjid al Furqan (Rusholme Manchester) are clearly attempting to mix between truth and falsehood. On one hand these books that carry the destructive ideologies and propagate the dawa of Sayid Qutb are on the shelves of Masjid Al Furqan; whilst on the other the admin arranges links with sound scholars to blur the people’s vision and hide the reality of their manhaj from the common people.

Ponder upon this statement of Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) said:  ”Yes, separation between the truth and the falsehood; this is correct. We make a distinction between truth and the falsehood and (also between) the people of truth and the people of falsehood. We are going to refute (the people of falsehood), and the Scholars refuted (the people of falsehood). This is not for the purpose of causing division; this is to gather the people upon the truth, because with people remaining upon misguidance and upon the speech of falsehood, then this causes division between the Muslims. As for clarifying the truth for the people, so they can gather upon it, then this is the da’wah towards unity, not the da’wah towards separation. The da’wah towards separation is when it is said, ‘The people of falsehood are not to be refuted.’ This is the da’wah to division if they only gave thought.”[8] [End of quote]

This is the Dawah of Masjid Al-Furqan! They seek to hide their reality; promote Goldie (a man of bidah) and the Books of Sayyid Qutb (the Imaam of the Takfeeris of this Era). Therefore, it is very clear that the events of Masjid Al-Furqan are not to be attended because they defend the man of bidah Goldie and promote the Books of the blood thirsty Khaariji Terrorist Sayyid Qutb.

It will be interesting to see if these books are taken down permanently, the ideology within them refuted and the haqq made clear. Or whether whilst it suits they will be removed up until they can be re-placed there and left to misguide another generation of youth.

And we seek refuge in Allah from such a calamity. And Allah knows best.

[2] Lets share these reminders and benefits from Shaikh Ramzaan Al-Haajiriy (may Allaah preserve him)

Shaikh Ramzaan (may Allaah preserve him) stated:

When the Scholars of Sunnah clarified the truth with its proofs, the haal (state of affairs) of the people of desires was exposed.

When they urged towards adherence to the Jamaa-ah and the Sunnah, the haal (state of affairs) of the people of splitting and innovation became apparent.

When they clarified the (true) state of Jihaad, the difference between it and corruption became apparent.

When they clarified the state of affairs (regarding) bidah and its people, and the correct stance against them (i.e. the people of bidah), the Sunni and the Bid’ee became manifest to the people after what they (the people) have been living in for a long period of time, and after (a period in which) they used to equate the callers to bidah with the callers to the Sunnah.

Sticking to those who oppose the truth – Shaykh Fawzaan

Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan – May Allah preserve him – was asked:

There is found in these times those who fanatically cling to personalities, although the truth opposes them; so how do we advise these youth?

We advise them first and fore-mostly to study , for they did not fanatically cling to anyone except due to ignorance; so upon them is to study beneficial knowledge(*) and to gain understanding of the religion of Allah and the truth will become clear/manifest to them. – if Allah wills -But as long as they are ignoramuses or pseudo seekers of knowledge, this will not increase them in anything except differing. And it will not increase them except (in) disagreement
