Al-‘Allaamah as-Sa’di (Allah have Mercy upon him) said;

Verily the humble person (of tawheed and sunnah) is close to Allah, close to the people, close to Mercy, close to Paradise, far from the Fire, whilst the arrogant person is the opposite.
